  • And they are both in Algarve ...
  • Praia da Rocha and Falesia, were distinguished as two of the best in Europe. TripAdvisor, a travel site that provides information and reviews of tourism-related content, launches a challenge every year to its users: to vote, according to their experience, in places of their liking. Subsequently TripAdvisor undertakes to launch a list that helps to realize the quality and interest of certain places.

Falesia Beach occupies the 16th place in the list of 25 beaches. It is located in the municipality of Albufeira, next to a huge cliff with the peculiarity of some areas having a reddish color. It is strongly recommended to swim because the sand does not have rocks.

Praia da Rocha has a long stretch of sand, along a 1.5 km stretch of coastline. Next to the beach rises the Fortress of Santa Catarina, built in the XVII century to assure the defense of the Arade river mouth. The beach, which was placed in 24th place, owes its name to the rocks that lie between the sand and the sea.

The list of best beaches in Europe includes countries like France, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Spain and UK.

These two beaches are included in our service of beaches in direct and can be consulted here:
